     Today Will and I went to Tainan Metropolitan Park. Tainan Metropolitan Park is Taiwan’s third-biggest metropolitan park and the only one with a museum. No matter which angle you look from in the park, the beautiful white European style building that houses the Chimei Museum can be seen, giving the feeling of actually being in a European park. Surrounded by lush greenery, the pond is large and lovely; it is the home of many birds, small animals, and flocks of swans which can often be seen paddling along; many egrets also feed at the water’s edge. I took a lot of pictures with Will. We had a good afternoon time.

禹崴今天帶我來台南很有名的海灘，叫做黃金海岸。假日這裡遊客很多，大家都是來看夕陽西下的。我和禹崴一起在海灘上散步，看著夕陽落下的餘耀，真很非常漂亮。

     Today is New Year’s holiday. Eric and I went to a famous beach in Tainan, called ‘Golden Coast’. The Golden Coast is on Tainan’s southernmost section of the coastline. Approximately 5 km of sandy beach runs from Anping’sYuguang Island to the Golden Coast, and there are always lots of tourists walking, splashing in the waves and flying kites here in the afternoon.

     

     The Golden Coast gets its name from the glistening sight of the golden sunset shining on the beach. Sunset is the busiest time, but even after nightfall lots of people still remain, attracted by the beach’s outdoor coffee shops. Eric and I walked on the beach and watched the sunset. It's a very beautiful moment. I will never forget this moment.

We were excited to join the school field trip in the first semester this year! We went to Xinhua Experimental Forest in the beginning. First, the coach introduced tree climbing activity. The colorful ropes are elastic and very safe. He then showed us how to use the ropes to help us swing on the branches. Everyone was so excited to try the game. After making it across the tree we all felt very relaxed. The beautiful scenery helped us feel calm and peaceful. We were thankful to the trees for allowing us to climb on its branches.

Then we went to the Hu Tou Pei reservoir. It was the first reservoir in Taiwan. Its name came from the shape of the mountain which is like a tiger's head. We tried canoeing for our second time in the reservoir.  The scenery is beautiful! We even met new friends here, a family of black geese. They own a house in the reservoir.  It was fun to canoeing here but everyone was exhausted afterward.

聖誕節快到了，阿福跟福爸福媽和福弟帶我一起在下午的時候到奇美博物館參加闖關遊戲，我們很幸運得通過一關又關，開心的拿到聖誕大禮。 我們又前往阿福家的貢丸攤體驗台南道地傳統市場的魅力，大家都好熱情唷 ! 我玩的好開心 !

Christmas is around the corner!  I stayed with Lee's family.

We joined a big party in Chi Mei Museum. We need to complete different tasks such as eating cookies without using our hands! We were also asked to separate red and green beans in a box! Lee tried his best. Afterward, we got our lovely Christmas gift! We then went to Lee's family pork ball stand at a traditional market in Tainan city. The people here are very welcoming! I had a good time !!

New Year 's Trip

這星期，我和玟縉的家人一起去旅行。首先我們去摘柳丁，雖然我不會採柳丁，讓柳丁掉到地上，但是我有幫忙洗柳丁，還吃了甜甜的柳丁。第二天，我們來到了著名的仙人掌公園，走進去就看到一大片的仙人掌，園方還送我們一盆仙人掌喔!下午，我們到了綠世界生態園區，走進一看，嚇了一大跳，因為籠子裡居然有一隻黃金蟒，真是恐怖!另外我們還看到一隻大鵜鶘，我還和牠拍照喔!希望有空還可以來這裡走一走。

We have a three-day holiday on 2020 New Year. Bryant and I went to the orchard this weekend. Although I don’t know how to pick oranges, Bryant taught me patiently. I tried many times and eventually succeeded. The oranges taste very sweet and juicy. On Sunday morning, we went to the cactus park. We saw a lot of different types of cactus. I really love Christmas cactus. It looks  very beautiful.

In the afternoon, we went to Green World Ecological Farm. Green World is a large-scale ecological farm combining the natural ecology of animals and plants with leisure, education, and recreation. I saw a big python. It looked scary! I also saw a big pelican. I hope I can come back to visit here again.

今天我和睿謙及他的家人一起去日月潭玩，日月潭景色很漂亮。接著我們來到木生昆蟲博物館，我們在遊戲區玩耍，但大人們怕我們玩得太髒，所以我們就去參觀蝴蝶，可是我們都很害怕蝴蝶，所以就趕快跑出去了。再來我們去看了竹節蟲等其他的昆蟲，睿謙的爸爸一直幫我們拍照，我們度過了愉快的假期。

      Ray and I went to Sun Moon Lake today. Sun Moon Lake is Taiwan's largest lake, which is located in the mountains of Nantou at the geographic center of Taiwan. The name of the lake is inspired by the beauty of the area. The east side of the lake is round, like the sun, while the west side is long and narrow, like a crescent moon.
     After visiting Sun Moon Lake, we went to the insect museum. We saw a lot of insects. I really love stick insects because they're so cute. Ray's father took a lot of pictures for me. I had a very good time on this trip.

這個星期二，大家帶我一起去佛光山戶外教學。車子行駛在高速公路上時，瑀齊陪著我看著沿途的風景。在遂道之前，有一座特別的山，它叫月世界。沒多久，我們就到目的地。接著昱琦就帶我下車，到處走走看看。走過佛光山的大廰之後，我們倆看見了兩側一座座寶塔，正前方有一尊又高又大的大佛，好壯觀呀!昱琦帶著我和老師一起享受自由活動時間，好開心呀!而且、而且老師還為我們一起拍照，留下美好的回憶!

 

 This Tuesday, we had a school field trip to Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum. Naomi and I were on the same team. Fo Guang Shan Temple is the best known Buddhist center in southern Taiwan and is the largest Buddhist monastery in Taiwan. The design of the Buddha Memorial Center is inspired by both an Indian stupa and the Mahabodhi Temple inside the Bodhgaya religious site in India. Above it sits the world’s tallest bronze sitting Buddha statue. In front of the statue is the Way to Buddhahood path flanked by Eight Pagodas on either side, making it perhaps the most magnificent Buddhist landmark in southern Taiwan.

Before arriving at Fo Guang Shan Buddha  museum, we passed some very special terrain called "Moon World", a world-class landform spectacular. This area's distinctive mud-stone is ocean-floor sediment that was raised by tectonic uplift. Following years of erosion by the area's waterways, such as the Erren River, the mudstone landscape took on its current appearance. Moon World is a result of the mudstone features being weakly lithified aquitards.

Naomi and I enjoyed the free time at Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum. We took a group photo and go back to school at 4p.m.
