今天我、昱琦和瑞瑀一起到學校新的遊戲區遊玩，我們一起玩了大象溜滑梯，大象溜滑梯好滑喔!一下子就滑到下面了，大家都好愛大象溜滑梯，是人氣王。我們還去爬了欄杆，我們比賽看誰最先爬到上面，新的遊戲區真的很好玩。

     Today I went to school a new playground with Naomi and Iris. We played on an elephant slide. The elephant slide is very slippery. It’s really fun. The elephant slide is the most popular facilities in the school’s playground. Later, we climbed railings. We had little competition to see who is the winner climbing to the top of the railing. We had a good time playing in the school’s new playground.

 今天我、昱琦和瑞瑀來上婆姐課，婆姐是臺灣傳統的一種藝陣，學校為了保留傳統，所以請教練來教我們。瑞瑀和昱琦他們很厲害，他們會下腰，身段非常的柔軟，這是常常練習的成果。

     Today I went to twelve Phoiche folk art performance classes with Naomi and Iris. Twelve Phoiche folk art performance is a traditional Taiwanese folk parade. According to the legend, Goddess Pochie blesses children and also the character bringing blessing to and expelling the evil spirit of the children; in the traditional religion, the performance is to exorcism in order to evict demons and attract good luck.

    In order to preserve the traditional culture, the school has founded Twelve Phoiche folk art performance club. The member of this club from the first grade to the sixth grade. Naomi and Iris are good at bending backward into a bridge. Their body is more flexible than me. I was not surprised. They have practiced this action for a long time.

 

Chinese Kung Fu Class

      今天我和翊捷他們來到武術班練習武術，首先教練要我們劈腿，很多人都下不去，而且大家都哇哇叫，因為太痛了!接下來，教練教我們蹲馬步，蹲馬步也不輕鬆，我和翊捷的腿都在抖，因為這是這學期的第一堂課，對於我和翊捷，我們是第一次上課，所以這些動作對我們來說都好難，但是我還是覺得這堂課很特別。

Martial art, any of various fighting sports or skills, mainly of East Asian origin, such as kung fu, judo, karate, and kendō. The martial art originated from labor and developed later out of the needs of fighting and training. Chinese Kung Fu Club is a new club in our school. Kung Fu is a sport that combines physical exercise with personal combat skills. More than 60% of Taiwanese parents think kids can acquire could protect themselves if they learn Kung Fu. It’s a good sport.

In the first class, the coach wants us to do the splits. It was really hurt. My legs were very sore and painful. And then the coach taught us how to do the squat appropriately. My legs were very arching. It was really difficult for me and Jack. Although these poses are really difficult, I still feel this club is really special and interested.

     開學了，學校新的遊樂設施也開放了，所有的小朋友都很高興，一下課馬上衝到遊樂區去玩。我和庭愷、瑜蓁也一起去玩，看看新的遊戲區到底有多好玩。我們先去走平衡木，哈哈!真得太簡單了，我們一下子就完成

      

      School opening postponed to Feb. 25 due to coronavirus. The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced on the first day of February. I was looking forward to going to school because I have not seen my friend for almost one month. In the first week of the semester, I found there are several new facilities in the school’s playground, such as an elephant slide, seesaw, swing, balance beam, and jungle gym. All of the students are excited when they saw the new facilities in the playground. Jean, Tim and I went to the playground every break. We like to walk on the balance beam. Walking on the balance beam was easy for us. Tomorrow I will try another facility.

老師帶我到臺東（臺灣的東部）走走。藍藍的天、藍藍的海水，風景真的非常美麗。我們很悠閒的到處逛逛，放鬆一下心情。臺東的海岸和西部的海岸不同，東岸多是岩岸，和西部的海邊多是沙岸真的很不同。我們還到鹿野高臺，可惜沒有熱氣球，因為季節不對。但也可以瞭望遠處，風景真得好美!

     Last weekend, my homeroom teacher took me to Taitung, in eastern Taiwan. We spent three and half an hour taking a train from Tainan to Taitung. Taitung is situated where the Philippine and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. As the two plates have pushed together over millions of years, the orogeny that resulted and cut by rivers, erosion, sediment deposit, and wave impact, and other natural processes, have created a diverse geological landscape between mountain and ocean. Taitung has the ocean in front and high mountains at its rear, which gives it rich ecological and agricultural produce variety. The mountains are pristine, the water pure and the rice good quality; other agricultural products of which the county is rightly proud are tea, golden day lily, sugar apple, shaved fish and sailfish, their purity, naturalness and taste the pride of Taitung.

     In the mountains of Taitung, there are a lot of Taiwanese Aboriginal tribes live there, such as Amis, Puyama, Rukai Bunun, Paiwan. The culture here is richly diverse and it is worth slowly exploring the nature and culture in depth. The highest average temperature is 28.7°C in (July) and the lowest 19.2°C (January). Taitung's climate makes it suitable for visiting all year round.

     

      We went to Luyeh Highland. Luyeh Highland rests on a hill in Luye township of Taitung County that is about 350 meters above sea level. To my disappointment, we missed the Taiwan International Balloon Festival because this festival is held by the government every summer. This area has the area has beautiful scenery, especially of the surrounding eastern rift valley. I will come back again this summer.

考試完，老師讓我們做有關溶解的實驗，就是結晶。首先將明礬倒入熱水中，攪拌到看得到明礬的沉殿物，然後將毛根折出我們自己想要的形狀，再將毛根放入熱水裡，然後就是等待了，希望明天實驗可以成功。

     After the final examination, we did a very fun science experiment concerning the ‘dissolving of substances.' In the beginning, we put potassium alum into hot water and then stirred for a while. We saw some precipitant in the bottom of the cup. Secondly, we folded the wool stick into different shapes that we loved. Then, put the wool stick into hot water. We will have to wait a long time to see what is going on. I hope our experiment will be successful!

最近學校來了一位國際志工的姐姐，她來自馬來西亞，她來我們班上幫我們上課。因為接近聖誕節了，所以姐姐教我們做聖誕樹，我們努力的摺來摺去，摺了好久，結果我剪錯了，就完蛋了，這棵樹就被剪斷頭了。

     In each semester, Wunsian Elementary school invites at least two international volunteers to school for sharing culture and to improve students' listening and speaking skills. I am really lucky to be here in December because there are two international volunteers who came from Malaysia and Australia. Today I joined teacher May's class. She is from Malaysia but she has studied in Singapore. She taught us how to use paper to make a Christmas tree. I found it difficult for me to do this hands-on activity. In the end, I realized I made a wrong cut, causing the Christmas tree to be split into two parts.

今天是期末考的日子，校長希望我能和三甲的小朋友一樣，參加考試，看看我在這裡學習的成效如何?哇!這真是很特別的經驗，我竟然在考試。看著大家這麼認真的寫考卷，也激起我的戰鬥力。我們今天要考三科，哇!考完之後就比較輕鬆了，我就和小朋友們一起出去玩了。

     Today is our school final examination. In Taiwan, for primary school, we have two examinations each semester. We have tests on Chinese, English, math, science and social studies. School held mid-term and final examinations over two continuous days. The principal hopes I can take the exam along with all the other students in Wunsian elementary school. It’s a very special experience for me. Today, we had tests on three subjects, math, social studies, and English. I hope I can get good grades. After the examination, I can play outside with other classmates.

庭愷和我一起參加學校舉辦的聖誕節闖關活動，我們來到的這一關是利用平板來找出我們與其他國家首都距離有多遠?這真的很特別，我們所有的人都集中精神趕快找到答案好過關。

接下來，換成雨沁帶著我去闖關，我們闖的關卡是配對遊戲，找出各種動物的小時候，這關其實不會太難，因為我們都知道動物的小寶寶是哪一個，所以我們很快就過關了。

再來，瀚升帶著我去闖關，這個關卡很特別喔!因為關主來自坦尚尼亞，在臺灣要看到來自坦尚尼亞的外國人是不多見的，所以關主和我一樣都是來自國外。關主穿上他們國家的傳統服裝與我們合照，當然要介紹一下，這關是什麼，這關就是要猜猜叫聲是哪種動物發出來的。

最後，瑞瑀帶著我來到沛橙老師這關，這是國家與國旗的配對遊戲，這對我來說不是很困難，因為學校的國際教育課程就會提到哪些國家的國旗，所以我們很快就完成任務。

     Tim and I joined in the school’s Christmas activities on Christmas day. My favorite activity was using an iPad to measure the distance to the other countries who we did the PBL projects with. It’s a very special learning experience for me because this is my first time to use the iPad to measure the distance and calculate the proportional scale. This stage took a lot of concentration!

     After this stage, Cindy and I went to the other stage called “animals and their mums’. We had to play the matching game to match the baby animals with their mums. I felt that this stage was not too difficult for me since we have already been taught the answers in class.  Then, Handson and I went to the stage called ‘animal sounds’.We had to determine which sound matches the animal. For example, we have to determine which sound belongs to the horse, sea turtle, and dolphin. This stage is really special, the gatekeeper is from Tanzania. He also brought traditional clothes to school. We got to wear clothes and then take pictures. It’s very interesting.

     In the final stage, Iris and I went to teacher Joyce’s stage. We had to match the flag and their country's names. This stage was also easy for me because we learned the answers through the school’s international education courses. We finished this stage very quickly!

     Today Will and I went to Tainan Metropolitan Park. Tainan Metropolitan Park is Taiwan’s third-biggest metropolitan park and the only one with a museum. No matter which angle you look from in the park, the beautiful white European style building that houses the Chimei Museum can be seen, giving the feeling of actually being in a European park. Surrounded by lush greenery, the pond is large and lovely; it is the home of many birds, small animals, and flocks of swans which can often be seen paddling along; many egrets also feed at the water’s edge. I took a lot of pictures with Will. We had a good afternoon time.

禹崴今天帶我來台南很有名的海灘，叫做黃金海岸。假日這裡遊客很多，大家都是來看夕陽西下的。我和禹崴一起在海灘上散步，看著夕陽落下的餘耀，真很非常漂亮。

     Today is New Year’s holiday. Eric and I went to a famous beach in Tainan, called ‘Golden Coast’. The Golden Coast is on Tainan’s southernmost section of the coastline. Approximately 5 km of sandy beach runs from Anping’sYuguang Island to the Golden Coast, and there are always lots of tourists walking, splashing in the waves and flying kites here in the afternoon.

     

     The Golden Coast gets its name from the glistening sight of the golden sunset shining on the beach. Sunset is the busiest time, but even after nightfall lots of people still remain, attracted by the beach’s outdoor coffee shops. Eric and I walked on the beach and watched the sunset. It's a very beautiful moment. I will never forget this moment.

New Year 's Trip

這星期，我和玟縉的家人一起去旅行。首先我們去摘柳丁，雖然我不會採柳丁，讓柳丁掉到地上，但是我有幫忙洗柳丁，還吃了甜甜的柳丁。第二天，我們來到了著名的仙人掌公園，走進去就看到一大片的仙人掌，園方還送我們一盆仙人掌喔!下午，我們到了綠世界生態園區，走進一看，嚇了一大跳，因為籠子裡居然有一隻黃金蟒，真是恐怖!另外我們還看到一隻大鵜鶘，我還和牠拍照喔!希望有空還可以來這裡走一走。

We have a three-day holiday on 2020 New Year. Bryant and I went to the orchard this weekend. Although I don’t know how to pick oranges, Bryant taught me patiently. I tried many times and eventually succeeded. The oranges taste very sweet and juicy. On Sunday morning, we went to the cactus park. We saw a lot of different types of cactus. I really love Christmas cactus. It looks  very beautiful.

In the afternoon, we went to Green World Ecological Farm. Green World is a large-scale ecological farm combining the natural ecology of animals and plants with leisure, education, and recreation. I saw a big python. It looked scary! I also saw a big pelican. I hope I can come back to visit here again.

今天我和睿謙及他的家人一起去日月潭玩，日月潭景色很漂亮。接著我們來到木生昆蟲博物館，我們在遊戲區玩耍，但大人們怕我們玩得太髒，所以我們就去參觀蝴蝶，可是我們都很害怕蝴蝶，所以就趕快跑出去了。再來我們去看了竹節蟲等其他的昆蟲，睿謙的爸爸一直幫我們拍照，我們度過了愉快的假期。

      Ray and I went to Sun Moon Lake today. Sun Moon Lake is Taiwan's largest lake, which is located in the mountains of Nantou at the geographic center of Taiwan. The name of the lake is inspired by the beauty of the area. The east side of the lake is round, like the sun, while the west side is long and narrow, like a crescent moon.
     After visiting Sun Moon Lake, we went to the insect museum. We saw a lot of insects. I really love stick insects because they're so cute. Ray's father took a lot of pictures for me. I had a very good time on this trip.
