我今天和大家一起去視聽教室慶祝聖誕節，教會的牧師和志工來陪我們玩遊戲還發巧克力給我們，今天坐在尚恩(Shuan)旁邊很開心，跟他一起玩真高興，希望以後還有更多機會可以一起玩。

     Today I celebrated Christmas with my classmates in the school's auditorium, the priest and volunteer gave us a lot of candy and chocolate. Shuan and I really enjoyed this moment. I hope I can have more chances to attend this kind of celebration in Taiwan.

我今天參加了聖誕節的闖關活動，我和宇裴(Daniel)還有其他年級的同學同一組，我們這組有一共闖了九關，那麼多人一起玩真有趣，這是我第一次在外國和朋友度過聖誕節，我不會忘記的。

   
     Today is Christmas. Our English teacher " Ken" held a whole school Christmas activity called 'Breaking through the barricade". We were divided into twenty-seven groups. Each group containing a range of ages, from first grade to sixth grade, ensuring a mixed competence level across the group. There were nine barricades in total. Each barricade has its own topic. All of the topics were aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)12 and 14.  Daniel and I were in the same group. We loved the matching game very much. We had to match the baby's picture with their mom's picture. This is my first time celebrating Christmas in another country. It is a memory I will never forget.

今天瑋澤(Jerry)帶我一起去玉米田，說先前種的玉米成熟了，今天要去採收。我們一起到玉米田，玉米已經長得好高了，我們在裡面找到成熟的玉米，用力往下折再轉動玉米就拔下來了，我們採了很多，廚房阿姨煮熟給我們吃，全校的同學都吃了，也都帶了一枝生的玉米回家，台灣的秋天是豐收的季節。

     Wunsian Elementary school is a very special primary school. There is a farm in the school. Students call it "Happy Farm". Students plant different crops in different seasons to suit the changing weather conditions.

     For this season, students planted corn. In the morning, the principal told us the corn was mature enough for us to harvest. Jerry and I went to the cornfield together to see how tall the corn had grown.

     We found a lot of ripe corn. We plucked each one from the sweet corn plant. It's a harvest season. We took a bunch of the corn we plucked from the corn trees back to the school kitchen. We ate the corn as our lunch and took some back home. It was very delicious. Fall is the harvest season in Taiwan.

今天鈁翎(Lydia)帶我去高雄夢時代看氣球大遊行，我們吃完早餐就馬上到會場，看到了OPEN家族的大氣球，我們還跟小桃氣球一起合照！這一天除了看到氣球遊行很開心，還吃了好吃的玉米和蛋包飯，雖然有點想家但是這裡有好多有趣的活動，在台灣的每一天都好開心！

   
     Today Lydia and I went to Kaohsiung, the southern city in Taiwan, to join the Kaohsiung dream world hot air parade. After having breakfast, we went to the venue. We saw all of the members of the Open Family. We danced, laughed and ate an omelet together. Although sometimes I miss my hometown, I feel very happy every day in Taiwan.

今天的天氣很好，我和全班同學一起去校外教學，我跟俞慧同一組，早上先陪她照顧妹妹之後再一起去學校集合出發，早上的目的地是考古博物館，裡面有好多的化石，還有很久以前的器具都是在台南挖到的，我才知道大約五千年前就已經有人類在這裡生活了，我們現在也來到這裡參觀，感覺真是神奇！

下午到了樹谷農場，這裡不但可以看到好多可愛的小動物，還可以自己拿飼料和食物餵牠們，餵羊吃胡蘿蔔的時候牠們吃好快，嚇了我一大跳。旁邊還有溜滑梯可以玩，我跟同學都玩得很開心，真是太棒了！

      It was a nice day today. I was excited today because we went on a field trip to the archaeological museum. After taking care of Whitney's younger sister at home, we headed to school. We spent one hour on the bus from school to the museum.

     There are a lot of fossils in this museum as well as some of the ancient equipment on display. The guide told us all of these fossils and equipment are found in Tainan. I realized that human beings have lived here for five thousand years. It's amazing that we visited the same location after five thousand years.

     In the afternoon, we visited 'Tree Valley Farm'.The Tree Valley Farm has an adorable animal area where children can experience the joys of being in close contact with animals. Whitney and I fed goats. They eat grass very fast. We are very happy! It was a wonderful school field trip.

A Trip to Anping

      今天我和瑋仁一家人一起去安平玩，我們參觀了運河、砲台，也吃了蚵仔煎、蝦捲、滷肉飯和魚羹湯，許多食物是我之前沒有嘗試過的，吃飽飯後瑋仁爸爸還買蘋果汽水給我們喝，又甜又有氣泡是我今天最喜歡的飲料！           參觀運河和砲台的時候我才知道，17世紀的台南是一個國際城市，安平就在海邊，有很多人在這裡做生意，也有一些人想攻占這裡，所以才建了砲台和城牆，不過那是很久以前的事情了，現在已經沒有戰爭了，我還坐在古代的大砲上面拍照！

     Brian and I went to Anping today. The history of Anping dates back to the 17th century when the Dutch East India Company occupied a "high sandy down" called Tayouan and built Fort Zeelandia. The Dutch moved their headquarters to Tayouan after leaving the Pescadores in 1624. Due to silting, the islet has joined with mainland Taiwan. 
     We visited a canal, Anping Fort and Eternal Golden Fortress. A combined Dutch military and commercial force captured modern-day Anping in 1624, and built Fort Zeelandia as its defensive stronghold, which was completed in 1634. During the Qing Dynasty, excessive silting of the Taijiang shore gradually reduced the fort's importance, and it was neglected after being damaged by Qing soldiers who took building materials for the building of the Eternal Golden Castle. The fort was rebuilt after the Japanese Colonial Period and renamed Anping Old Fort after World War II.
     We also ate an oyster omelet, shrimp roll, braised pork on rice and starch coated pork. I ate a lot of local Tainan food I had never eaten before. After eating lunch, Brian's father bought me an apple soda, apple soda is my favorite drink in Tainan.
   

I realized the history of Tainan after visiting the canal and Anping Fort. In the seventeenth century, Tainan was an international city. Due to the location and commercial benefits, Anping became an important place that everyone wants to claim as their own territory. That's why there are so many forts and city walls here. There is no war right now. Look, I can sit on the artillery.   

A trip to Zi Nan Temple

I went on an interesting tour with Samuel 's family. We visited Chitou Forest Recreation Area and Zi Nan Temple. We had hiked to the Landmark of Xitou-University Pond. It was built to keep logs moist. Later, it became a frog's heaven.

   We visited the well-know Zi Nan Temple in the afternoon. It's so crowded. People can borrow money from the temple as long as the god in the temple agrees with it. It's like a bank! People can return it with some interest later on when they make more money. It's quite interesting! I'm happy to see different cultures today.

Today Jerry took me to the Chi Mei museum in the Rende District. It's a popular place to visit in Tainan. The museum was so crowded so we decided to take a walk outside. People had picnics and played games on the grass. I saw a big hippo statue beside a bridge. I was so happy to meet a new friend in Taiwan. We had a great Sunday afternoon!

I'm so excited to visit a fun spot in Jimmy's hometown! Jimmy's family decided to go to HONG YU museum of CUTTLEFISH BALL. There are lots of cuttlefish, squids, and octopuses. We learned how to make cuttlefish balls there. Jimmy's sister also took a lot of fun photos for us. I tried yummy cuttlefish balls there. We had a good time!

這個周末我和Julian去了南元休閒農場Nan Yuan Resort Farm，天氣很好而且空氣也很清新，農場很大，除了種植蔬菜和水果，還養了小白兔和許多鳥類，我很喜歡小白兔摸起來柔軟的感覺。農場的土地很大，裡面還有充滿植物的步道，我們走了很久，也認識了好多植物和樹林裡的小動物，真是有趣!

I went to Nan Yuan Resort Farm with Julian this weekend. Nan Yuan Garden Resort Farm is located in Tainan City. The resort is built on the concept of natural ecological preservation. It uses a lively blend of natural, original landscapes, with rural countryside cultural resources. It is located in a beautiful green area containing mountains and water, making it a fence-less classroom and a treasure house of knowledge.

The weather is good and the air is fresh today. We saw a lot of bunnies. They are so cute. I learned a lot about plants. It's a fun day to go to Nan Yuan Resort Farm.

星期五我跟著Gima一起去她爸爸的同事家喝茶聊天,他們還請我們吃飯,不久之後我們到了飯店放好行李就去逛逢甲夜市,那裡真是人擠人!之後回到飯店休息，隔天吃完早餐就去了麗寶樂園，從早一直玩到晚上，好過癮！星期日我們離開飯店又去了台中歌劇院照相留念，還去了台中科工館，Gima 爸爸買門票帶我們進去看很久以前的化石,還玩了闖關遊戲。最後在彰化老街吃了肉圓和豆花之後，就跟著Gima一起回到了台南，這個週末真開心！

     Gima and I went to Taichung, the middle city of Taiwan, this Friday.
We visited Gima's father's colleague. We went to a lot of places in Taichung. After checking in the hotel, we went to the Fengja night market. The Fengjia Night Market is one of Taichung's famous commercial business districts, covering approximately one kilometer in diameter around Feng Chia University and includes the Fengjia-Wenhua Night Market, Fengjia Rd., and Fuxing Rd. In this CBD, you can find delicious snack foods, quality clothes at reasonable prices to express your unique personality, and the trendiest mobile phones at excellent bargain prices. We ate a lot of local food.
     
     On Saturday morning, we went to the Lihpao resort. Lihpao is an amusement park. We went on the roller coaster, Ferris wheel and into the haunted house. This was an extremely enjoyable trip.

     On Sunday, after leaving the hotel, we went to the Taichung Metropolitan Opera House. With an area of 5.7 hectares, the National Taichung Metropolitan Opera House was designed by Japanese architect Toyolto. From whichever angle you view the curve walls, the design is distinct. Even the interior walls are curved too. Some people refer to this architecture as one of the 9 wonders of the world. Some architectural experts commend this building for being the most challenging to construct.

     After visiting the Taichung Metropolitan Opera House, we ate ba-wan and tofu pudding in Changhua. It was a really fun weekend.
